Supporting students through University degrees and beyond

It’s so important for University students to consider their career plans after graduation. Careers fairs are a fantastic way for students to meet local businesses in their chosen industry and discuss post-education opportunities.

Leading asset management consultancy, Imagile Professional Services Limited (IPSL) has attended a number of careers fairs and presents a unique opportunity for students looking to further their career in the infrastructure sector.

The firm has several offices across the UK and focuses on providing clients with strategic, bespoke asset management. IPSL currently works across a huge number of sectors, including education, healthcare and highways.

James Bourke, an Assistant Project Manager at the firm, recently made the decision to undertake a Masters degree in Project Management in Construction at the University of Salford. With this, he became part of the IPSL team exhibiting at the University’s Built Environment careers fair.

When discussing his journey, James said: “After completing a two-year project management graduate scheme, I joined IPSL as an Assistant Project Manager. With the support of my managers and colleagues, I made the decision to go back to University part-time to get my Masters degree.

“Imagile Professional Services understands the importance of supporting employees wanting to further their personal and career development. It’s great to work for a company that is so passionate about providing the best opportunities for its employees.

“Thanks to the support from IPSL, I’ve been given the opportunity to return to University and undertake my MSC whilst still maintaining my job as an Assistant Project Manager, working on a number of high-level projects.

“The careers fairs are so worthwhile and beneficial for students at any stage of their degree. This year, IPSL is offering work placements to a number of students, helping them to understand what life in the industry is really like. If you’re attending the fair, make sure you come and visit our stand to find out more.”
