As a Safety, Health and Environment Manager at Imagile Professional Services, an important part of my role is to ensure the organisation has the right tools and experience to expertly deliver health and safety risk management to the highest standard through the roles.
The role of Principal Designer/CDM-Advisor is incredibly important in any construction project, with the roles ensuring that all health and safety risks are properly considered in the development of projects, from the pre-construction phase onwards. This can be achieved through expert planning and close monitoring.
Demonstrating our capabilities
As an organisation, we pride ourselves on providing the highest standard of service for clients and always work hard to continuously develop our teams’ skills, ensuring employees remain up to date with industry standards and regulations.
The Association of Project Safety (APS) is a professional membership body dedicated to eliminating deaths, reducing injury and tackling ill-health associated with construction.
The APS corporate membership is an accreditation that can be achieved by demonstrating the ability to deliver the Principal Designer & CDM-Adviser roles. The APS is considered the leading body in CDM accreditation and many clients expect a company to possess this accreditation to tender for work packages.

We’re very proud that IPSL has retained its corporate membership for another year, clearly demonstrating our capabilities when delivering the Principal Designer and CDM advisor roles.
The achieve this, APS assess an organisation’s processes and tools used to deliver the Principal Designer role, including reviewing the skills, knowledge, experience and Training (SKET) of the individuals delivering these roles. Receiving this prestigious accreditation is a huge credit to our teams and really highlights the fantastic work they do in this area.
The APS accreditation validates that we can effectively deliver the professional practice of design and construction health and safety risk management, ensuring that our overall aim is always to keep projects accident-free.
