With the coronavirus pandemic presenting unique threats to people’s health and safety, protecting the physical and mental wellbeing of our population must be a top priority. With this, there’s a stronger focus than ever on creating working environments that are safe, secure and fully compliant.
At IPSL, our Safety, Health & Environment team is committed to providing clients with expert advice and a range of exceptional services, allowing them to make informed decisions to better manage their assets. At a time when organisations are facing critical decisions about the future, having knowledgeable health and safety experts on hand has never been more imperative.
Navigating these challenging times together
To prevent the spread of the virus and reduce risks to public health, the Government has introduced a number of new sector specific health and safety guidelines. For our clients, this has meant having to quickly adapt and assess their approach to risk management.
From social distancing measures to providing respiratory protective equipment, the industry is facing a set of extraordinary challenges. However, our focus remains on the timely communication of relevant information and advice to all clients, helping to ensure projects and assets are compliant with the latest regulations.
The experience within our Health, Safety and Environment team has allowed us to quickly adapt our methods and this has subsequently played a critical role in helping our clients navigate this complex period.
Having completed more than 400 projects over the past three years, working with clients across various sectors, providing a range of services from strategic risk management to accident investigation, we understand the unique challenges that each sector is facing. What’s more, we also possess the knowledge and skills required to effectively meet each client’s specific needs.
Adjusting to a new normal
In my mind, valuable experience isn’t just about spending years in the industry, it’s about collaborative learning, specialist training and taking a hands-on approach to dynamic and flexible working. In these challenging times, your people are your greatest asset and that’s why we have remained committed to maintaining a collaborative workplace, even whilst working remotely.
Video conferencing has been a fantastic resource during ‘lock down’ enabling our team to communicate, support and motivate each other, while continuing to work together effectively. The relationships we have built with colleagues, partners and clients plays a vital role in our business continuity, and by hosting meetings online, we’ve continued developing these relationships.
While this has undoubtably been a difficult period for everyone, it’s been encouraging to see the ways in which people have adapted to this new way of living and working – the lessons we have learned will only make us stronger in the future.
