This year has been momentous for Imagile Professional Services Limited (IPSL), with the organisation exceeding a number of its key objectives and celebrating some fantastic achievements.
One of those achievements involved our Safety, Health and Environmental team, whose work was recently recognised with a leading industry award.
IPSL was appointed by its client; Newcastle Estates Partnership (NEP) to carry out a CDM-Advisory role, working alongside and supporting the overall project team. In particular, IPSL assisted the architects; Ward Robinson, to develop and deliver new ways of working, while at the same time maximising occupancy usage of the workspace.
Our aim was to improve and promote the professional practice of design and construction health and safety risk management by setting standards, raising performance and providing guidance, educating and training. All of this was completed while working in partnership with the project team, with the ultimate aim of ensuring construction workers and others returned home safely.
IPSL made a constructive contribution to the review of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 throughout each key stage of the RIBA Plan of Works. This enabled the project to be delivered without compromising on safety.
IPSL’s duties involved, but were not limited to, compliance checks of the pre-construction information, ensuring the construction phase plan was in place and suitable for the works, site inspections of the Principal Contractor’s site and a detailed review of the Health and Safety file, produced by the Principal Designer.
The project was recognised at this year’s Mixology Awards, winning Public Sector Interior Project. The Mixology Awards ceremony is one of the largest events in the industry and celebrates the very best of projects, products and people in the commercial interiors industry.
It was a great project for the IPSL SHE team to get involved in and working alongside the talented team at Ward Robinson was brilliant.
